Break Up Sofia Vergara
Joe Manganiello and Sofa Vergara's marriage no longer has its charm. After seven years of marriage, the former "Modern Family" cast member and the "Magic Mike" actor announced their separation on July 17.
Difficult
Decision to Divorce
"We have made the difficult decision to
divorce," the couple wrote in a statement to Page Six. "As two very
devoted and caring individuals, we kindly request respect for our privacy at
this time as we move through this new stage of our lives."
No
Response from Representatives
Vergara and Manganiello's representatives were contacted by E! News, but no response was received.
Split Following Birthday Celebration
A week after celebrating her 51st birthday, Vergara
received word of the breakup. The actress attended the event with pals in
Italy, but Manganiello was not visible in any of the pictures she shared on
Instagram. On July 10, the actor did post an homage to Vergara on social media,
saying, "Happy Birthday Sofia!!!" next to an old photo of the couple.
A
Relationship That Defied Odds
Before becoming together, 46-year-old Manganiello and
Vergara met frequently. The two didn't go on their first date until June 15,
2014, a month after Vergara disclosed she had broken off her engagement to
billionaire Nick Loeb.
The First Date and Challenging Beginnings
According to the legend, Manganiello learned Vergara was
single while on a business trip, so he asked her co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson
for her number and took her out in New Orleans. He revealed to Haute Living in
2015 that "she gave me every reason why it would never work out on our
first date." She was just saying it to herself to hear herself say it,
"Like, 'You're too young, you're an actress, you're this, you're that. She
was attempting to persuade herself not to go.
An Attempt to Charm Manganiello went over and above to
impress Vergara, the mother of his 31-year-old son Manolo. Although he
acknowledged that she might need to remain single, he sent her a People
magazine article referring to him as the "'Number One Bachelor in the
World.'" Vergara reacted with a humorous request to see who else was on
the list.
Love Blossoms and Wedding Bells Ring
Strong chemistry resulted from Manganiello's attraction
and Vergara's razor-sharp humour. Manganiello proposed to the couple on
Christmas Eve 2014 during a beautiful sunset proposal, and they later became
engaged. In a celebrity-studded wedding with 400 guests, the couple wed 11
months later at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Florida.
A
Grand Celebration
Celebrities including Channing Tatum, Arnold
Schwarzenegger, Reese Witherspoon, and Vergara's "Modern Family"
co-stars attended the wedding. The celebrations included a "Magic
Mike"-inspired dance performance for the bride to the Backstreet Boys'
"I Want It That Way," making it a magnificent and unforgettable
occasion.
Anniversary
Gestures
Manganiello kept making huge moves to show Vergara how
much he cared. He wrote her a book on their first wedding anniversary that
covered around 40 pages and detailed their relationship from how they met
through their courting.
End
of an Era
Vergara and Manganiello have recently chosen to split
ways despite their seeming close relationship and unforgettable experiences.
Many of their followers, who adored their partnership, are shocked to hear of
their breakup.
We can only wish for the couple's fulfilment as they
traverse this new phase of their life. Vergara and Manganiello each have a lot
to offer the entertainment business and will surely continue to succeed on
their own.
Even though their love story is over, their admirers will
always remember them and the memories they helped to build.
