Highlights
In
the 14th minute.
The USA didn't take long to make their presence felt in
the game. In the 14th minute, a simple throw-in deep in their own defensive
half resulted in the game's first goal. James Sands and Bryan Reynolds
skillfully exchanged quick passes, and Sands masterfully snuck by two defenders
to locate Djordje Mihailovic. The ball was immediately moved to left defender
DeJuan Jones by Mihailovic. situated near the centre of the American half.
Cristian Roldan was the recipient of a pinpoint forward pass from Jones as he
moved forward and carried the ball across midfield. Before returning the pass,
Roldan showed awareness and patience by waiting for Jones to charge into the
box. Jones, who was positioned in the centre, skillfully passed a short ball to
Jesus Ferreira, who radiated confidence as he fired a powerful shot from eight
yards out, giving Marvin Phillip no chance. With his 12th goal for his country,
Ferreira's precise strike gave the USA a 1-0 lead over Trinidad and Tobago.

goal-scoring record by extending the USA's lead. Djordje Mihailovic launched an
assault from the left of centre, and Alex Zendejas received an immaculate ball.

back post. Ferreira managed to meet the cross and made an attempt to play it
over the goal face while demonstrating his predatory tendencies. Ferreira
responded quickly and sent a left-footed shot into the open net despite Marvin
Phillip's best efforts to stop it. Ferreira became the first member of the
USMNT to have consecutive multi-goal outings in competitive fixtures, despite
Sheldon Bateau's heroic effort to clear the ball off the line. USA currently in
