Big Statement of Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan
Former minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan has made the
decision to resign from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), according to his
announcement. During a news conference held on Tuesday, Chohan expressed that
his choice was influenced by the incidents that occurred following his arrest.
He expressed his dismay over the arrest of his family members and the
subsequent ransacking of his house, which he believed was orchestrated by
Maryam Nawaz.
Chohan further stated that after his arrest, there was a
lack of response from Imran Khan, prompting him to reassess his political
endeavors. He emphasized that it is not the role of politicians to engage in
conflicts with the state and denounced extremism in politics. Sharing his
personal connection to the army, he lamented his marginalization due to his
pro-army stance over an extended period of time.
Furthermore, Chohan mentioned that he advised Imran Khan
to avoid adopting a confrontational approach towards the state and armed
forces. He also revealed that he had been expelled from the PTI Core Committee
for a significant duration of time.
