Developments in Khadija Shah Case
Khadija Shah, who was apprehended in connection with the
Jinnah House attack case, was transferred to the police for an identification
parade by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore.
After waiting for over an hour in the prisoner transport
vehicle, Khadija Shah, the granddaughter of former army chief General Asif
Nawaz Janjua and daughter of ex-finance advisor Salman Shah, was brought before
the court. Judge Abhar Gul presided over the proceedings.
During the court session, Khadija Shah appeared with her
face veiled as per the court's instructions. The court also granted her
permission to meet her husband in the courtroom.
Expressing her distress, Khadija Shah, who was inside the
sweltering van, complained about the heat, difficulty in breathing, and her
deteriorating health due to asthma. In response, the policemen advised her to
park the van in a shaded area and provided water to her. Two other women were
also present in the van, according to the police.
Notably, Khadija Shah, a renowned fashion designer wanted
in connection with the vandalism and arson case at Jinnah House in Lahore, was
apprehended the previous day. Earlier, an audio recording of Khadija Shah had
surfaced in which she had expressed a desire to surrender to the police.
However, instead of arresting her, the police claimed that she had fled from
her residence.
